About

Born into a French-Bulgarian family, I have always been surrounded by a multicultural and multilingual environment. This is why I naturally chose to study foreign languages at university.

After two years of literary preparatory classes, with a specialization in English, I joined the Institut de management et de communication interculturels (ISIT) in 2013, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in management, communication and translation.

Firmly determined to follow the path of translation with a view to making it my profession some day, I decided to leave Paris for a while, in order to taste the atmosphere of one of the most cosmopolitan capitals in the world: Brussels, a city where I spent two extremely rich years in linguistic and cultural experiences of all kinds, culminating in a Master's degree in translation and international relations, awarded in 2015 by the Institut supérieur de traducteurs et interprètes (ISTI), now attached to the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

In the autumn of 2015, thanks to an agreement between the ISTI and the University of Salamanca (USAL), I was awarded a language instructor's scholarship to teach French to university students in Spain. On this occasion, I attended the Master's course in Translation and Intercultural Mediation at the USAL, from which I graduated in July 2016.

With my two Master's degrees in hand, I moved to Guadalajara (Mexico), where I lived for three years, between September 2016 and August 2019. I started out as an English and French teacher in a private high school and at the Alliance Française in early 2017, but I soon embarked on the adventure of freelance translation as well. Working mainly for agencies, I translated many documents from English and Spanish into French, especially in the field of international relations and public administration.

After returning to Europe at the end of 2019 for personal and family reasons, I was able to take advantage of various experiences: first within the Secretary-General of the European Parliament, as part of a six-month translation and terminology traineeship in 2020, then, in 2021, as a project manager, translator and proofreader in a Parisian translation agency, before returning to a non-salaried activity, by creating my own translation company.

Today, I can eagerly devote myself to what is more than a job, but a passion: the art of translation. At the same time, I am doing a PhD in Translation Studies at the University of Salamanca on the subject of the translation of Bulgarian literature*, based on the novel The Iron Candlestick by Dimitar Talev (1898-1966).
